Following CapitaLand and Sunset, Taseco continues its strategic collaboration with Japan's Sojitz Corporation

On October 16, 2025, Taseco Group and Sojitz Corporation (Japan) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. This agreement marks a significant milestone in Taseco’s strategy to expand international cooperation in its core business areas.

Under the partnership, Taseco and Sojitz will closely coordinate in researching, investing in, and developing large-scale projects, leveraging each party’s respective strengths. With abundant land resources and flexible project execution capabilities, Taseco Land – a key member of Taseco Group – will serve as the focal point in the Vietnamese market. Meanwhile, Sojitz, a leading Japanese conglomerate, will contribute financial resources, international experience, and access to a global business ecosystem.

Sojitz is one of Japan’s leading general trading companies, headquartered in Tokyo, operating across a wide range of sectors worldwide. Its business scope includes manufacturing, import-export of diverse products, service provision, and multi-sector investments both in Japan and abroad.

In Vietnam, Sojitz has been active for 38 years, making its first investment in 1986 as one of the earliest foreign enterprises to enter the country following the Đổi Mới (Renovation) reforms. Today, Sojitz operates in various sectors across Vietnam with 25 subsidiary companies, spanning trade, manufacturing, logistics centers, industrial park development, and retail systems.

One of the key focuses of this collaboration is industrial zone development – a sector identified by Taseco Land as a strategic growth driver for the coming period. With decades of experience in industrial infrastructure investment and operations in multiple countries, Sojitz will support Taseco in expanding its value chain — from development and investor attraction to operations management and international standardization.

Beyond industrial real estate, both parties also aim to upgrade non-aeronautical service systems at airports and urban hotel chains. Sojitz’s participation in these projects is expected not only to improve service quality but also to create high-end integrated airport-commercial-hospitality models, enhancing the efficiency of the transport-tourism ecosystem.

In addition, aviation infrastructure development and aviation-related business activities are another crucial area of cooperation outlined in this agreement. With its technological capabilities and extensive global aviation networks, Sojitz will accompany Taseco in exploring investment opportunities, modernizing infrastructure, and gradually building a domestic aviation value chain aligned with international standards.

This is the third consecutive strategic partnership that Taseco has signed with global partners in October. Previously, on October 7, Taseco signed with Sunset Group, a leading hotel and lifestyle management brand from Dubai, followed by a strategic partnership with CapitaLand Development, one of Asia’s top real estate developers, on October 10.

These three comprehensive agreements across key sectors (residential real estate, industrial real estate, and hospitality & leisure real estate), signed within just two weeks, demonstrate Taseco’s strong commitment to building a comprehensive, internationally standardized real estate ecosystem, in collaboration with top-tier global partners.

This marks a pivotal transformation, reaffirming Taseco’s position as one of the pioneering Vietnamese enterprises embracing global partnerships to create sustainable value in the domestic market.
